One of Viva's main goals is provide solutions of children-at-risk, and not just to treat the symptoms.
We work with
and through local churches and projects in communities to do this.
By drawing
upon both the power of collective action and of Viva's expertise, we
have built a number of these "solutions" to problems:
Street
Children - Early Encounter
The Challenge: 100million children estimated to live on the streets of our cities worldwide.
Orphans - Casa Viva
The challenge: 40 million children in Latin America are orphans or are children in need of residential care.
Child Domestic Workers - Project Rhoda:
The challenge: 29 000 children in Manila are child domestic workers which can enlist them to a life of servitude and poverty.
Child Sports - Project SuperCamps - Cape Town:
The challenge: Despite the new democracy, the number of women and children in the "at risk" category is growing, not lessening. .
